Album Notes & Community Reviews

Showcasing a staggering vocal range and virtuoso acoustic guitar skills, the Texan songwriter's breakthrough album is a dazzling fusion of progressive folk and symphonic orchestration. Collaborating with arranger Paul Buckmaster, the record spans from sprawling, classically influenced suites to introspective folk balladry. It established Phillips as a uniquely ambitious, highly respected cult figure of the 1970s singer-songwriter boom.
