Intended as an aggressive protest record reacting to the political climate of the United States, Jonathan Meiburg's band recruited film composer Brian Reitzell to layer heavy synths over their rock foundation. The cinematic scope is expansive and notably louder than the quiet folk-rock that defined their origins.
