Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating increasingly independently from his Okkervil River roots, Jonathan Meiburg's fifth album is a dramatic, sweeping exploration of orchestral indie-rock and nature-obsessed lyricism. The record is incredibly lush, utilizing glockenspiels, harps, and string sections to underscore his powerful, quavering tenor vocals. The album's majestic, almost classical pacing earned widespread critical acclaim and solidified the band's entirely distinct identity.
