Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the absolute pinnacle of the 'krishnacore' movement, Shelter's 'Mantra' violently injects deeply spiritual, Hare Krishna devotion strictly into the aggressive framework of New York hardcore. The album features remarkably polished, highly melodic metallic riffing supporting Ray Cappo's passionately sung treatises on veganism and Eastern philosophy. It successfully introduced their unique, altruistic worldview to a much broader alternative metal audience.
