Album Notes & Community Reviews

A deeply reverent cornerstone of the British folk revival, this exquisitely stark album breathes new life into medieval and Renaissance-era balladry. Collins' characteristically plain, unadorned vocal delivery is supported beautifully by the incredibly sparse acoustic arrangements of her sister Dolly, creating an atmosphere of profound historical authenticity.
