Album Notes & Community Reviews

Eugene Chadbourne and Kramer completely dismantle mid-century pop and rock standards on this fiercely abrasive, chaotic debut. 'Earth vs. Shockabilly' employs horrific lo-fi distortion, tape manipulation, and manic, unhinged musicianship to create a highly sarcastic, avant-garde parody of classic Americana. It is an incredibly polarizing, highly influential masterpiece of the 1980s American noise rock underground.
