Album Notes & Community Reviews
The debut cassette release from the all-female trio Shonen Knife introduced their infectious, stripped-down approach to pop-punk and twee. Combining Ramones-inspired guitar chords with unabashedly joyful lyrics about animals and food, the album established a vibrant, enduring aesthetic that would eventually captivate the Western alternative rock scene.
