Album Notes & Community Reviews

Expanding their sound from minimalist funk into denser, more cinematic territory, this third studio album proved to be the British group's commercial high-water mark. 'Oil and Gold' integrates tribal percussion, sweeping synthesizer soundscapes, and soaring vocal hooks alongside their signature slinky, rhythmic basslines. The brooding, gothic-tinged club anthem 'Nemesis' secured their legacy within the alternative dance scene.
