Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on his massive popularity as an expatriate in France, the pioneering soprano saxophonist delivers a vibrant, polyphonic display of traditional New Orleans jazz. 'Ambiance Bechet' pairs his massive, wide-vibrato tone with spirited French accompanists, serving as a powerful transatlantic bridge during the post-war Dixieland revival.
