Album Notes & Community Reviews

Led by a distinctive trumpet stylist known for his extensive use of mutes and growls, this session is firmly rooted in the exuberant swing tradition. The driving rhythm section and robust horn interplay provide a highly energetic, dance-oriented counterpoint to the complexities of the emerging modern jazz movements.
