Album Notes & Community Reviews

The work sets the Eddic poem 'Hrafnagaldur 脫冒ins', a banquet of the gods shadowed by omens of the world's end, and was commissioned and premiered by the Reykjavik Arts Festival in 2002. This recording, made live in Paris with the Schola Cantorum of Reykjavik and a Paris conservatoire orchestra, pairs Kjartan Sveinsson's and Maria Huld Markan Sigf煤sd贸ttir's arrangements with P谩ll Gu冒mundsson's five-octave marimba built from stone.
