Album Notes & Community Reviews

Fronted by the flamboyant Michael Des Barres and released on Deep Purple's boutique record label, this debut encapsulates the sleazy, high-energy intersection of hard rock and early glam. The band tears through a set of infectious, riff-heavy anthems characterized by raunchy lyricism and raucous, Rolling Stones-indebted boogie grooves. Despite its lack of massive commercial success, the album's decadent attitude heavily influenced the late 70s punk and 80s sleaze-metal movements.
