Album Notes & Community Reviews

Uncompromised and fiercely independent, 'Songs for the New Year' represents the fifth studio album from Simon Joyner. The album pairs his skeletal, lo-fi acoustic-guitar picking with warm electric guitar lines and slow slacker-rock tempos contributed by his backing band. It serves as an essential, quiet, and deeply comforting winter-focused folk statement.
