Album Notes & Community Reviews
A masterful tribute to the iconic Egyptian composer, this recording highlights the virtuosic oud and violin playing of Simon Shaheen. The traditional acoustic ensemble gracefully navigates the complex maqam structures, preserving the lush romanticism of twentieth-century Arabic classical music.
