Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stripping back strictly to the core duo of Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, 'Good News From the Next World' finds Simple Minds attempting to re-energize their stadium-sized rock sound. The album features a notably guitar-heavy, driving production approach that actively steps away from their synthesizer-dominated past. The record aims distinctly for a more direct, highly melodic alternative rock edge tailored to the 90s landscape.
