Life in a Day

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving shortly before their abrupt pivot into darker territories, the Scottish group's debut exhibits a much brighter, art-pop influenced take on early new wave. The tracks display lingering influences from Roxy Music and David Bowie, emphasizing driving rhythms and relatively straightforward rock energy. Although they would quickly abandon this approach, the album documents the foundational pop sensibilities underlying their later, more atmospheric successes.
