Arriving shortly before their abrupt pivot into darker territories, the Scottish group's debut exhibits a much brighter, art-pop influenced take on early new wave. The tracks display lingering influences from Roxy Music and David Bowie, emphasizing driving rhythms and relatively straightforward rock energy.
