Album Notes & Community Reviews
Simple Minds executed a breathtaking creative pivot with 'New Gold Dream', trading cold post-punk experimentation for impossibly lush, sweeping synth-pop grandeur. Melding heavily textured keyboards with rhythmic basslines and Jim Kerr's dramatic vocals, the album is a deeply ethereal, highly atmospheric masterpiece that heavily shaped the emerging arena-ready 'Big Music' sound.
