Album Notes & Community Reviews

Rapidly abandoning the relatively straightforward punk influences of their debut, the Scottish band forged a much darker, synthesizer-driven identity for their sophomore effort. The stark arrangements emphasize angular rhythms, cold electronics, and cryptic lyricism, fully immersing themselves in the evolving post-punk landscape. This sudden creative pivot laid the essential groundwork for their subsequent art-rock triumphs.
