Album Notes & Community Reviews
Heavily propelled by the absolutely massive international success of the dance-pop anthem 'Fairground', Simply Red's fifth studio album flawlessly updates their slick, blue-eyed soul. 'Life' relies intensely on Mick Hucknall's consistently powerful vocal performances, floating seamlessly over lush, impeccably produced adult-contemporary R&B arrangements and contemporary 90s club rhythms. It stands as a definitive, highly commercial pinnacle of British pop-soul.
