Album Notes & Community Reviews

Skids reached their commercial zenith with this ambitious effort, pivoting from raw punk to a more expansive, stadium-ready post-punk sound. 'The Absolute Game' integrates soaring synthesizer lines and arena-sized vocal chants into their aggressive guitar framework. The record helped lay the structural foundation for the emergent 'Big Music' sound of the 1980s.
