Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to recapture their commercial footing during a period of shifting musical trends, the group released this highly polished but critically divisive effort. Moving away from the dark, insular psychedelia of their early 1970s masterpieces, the record attempts a lighter, more conventional approach to funk and soul, though it ultimately failed to reestablish the band's chart dominance.
