Album Notes & Community Reviews

Bill Callahan returned to a stark, unpolished production style for this release, largely abandoning the lush arrangements of his late-1990s work. 'Rain on Lens' relies heavily on droning, repetitive guitar figures, disjointed percussion, and his deep, monotone vocal delivery, resulting in a cold, emotionally detached, and challenging listen.
