Album Notes & Community Reviews
Shedding the profound alienation of his earlier lo-fi recordings, Bill Callahan presented a surprisingly warm, contented set of compositions. The rich arrangements, bolstered by prominent female backing vocals and gentle country-rock instrumentation, perfectly frame his steady, baritone delivery.
