Album Notes & Community Reviews

One of Bill Callahan's bleakest and most minimal albums, 'The Doctor Came at Dawn' is a masterpiece of lo-fi despair. The record is a sparse and deeply depressive collection of songs, featuring just Callahan's signature baritone and acoustic guitar, with occasional cello accompaniment. It's a raw and unflinching exploration of a painful breakup, a quintessential sadcore album from a master of the form.
