Capitalizing on the massive global popularity of downtempo electronic music, the group seamlessly fused trip-hop beats with highly accessible, alternative pop hooks. Kelli Ali's distinctively sweet yet detached vocals mask the darkly cynical undertones of the production. After achieving major international success with singles like '6 Underground', the core producers abruptly dismissed Ali to alter their vocal direction entirely.
