Album Notes & Community Reviews

Propelled by enormous crossover hit singles, the band perfects their melancholic, arena-ready brand of alternative rock. The polished, string-laden production maximizes the emotional weight of Gary Lightbody's earnest vocal delivery. It became one of the defining commercial successes of the 2000s UK pop-rock landscape.
