Album Notes & Community Reviews

Mired in murky, incredibly lo-fi production, 'Obsessed by Cruelty' is a chaotic, primitive explosion of early blackened thrash metal. Tom Angelripper鈥檚 guttural, demonic vocals and the band's relentlessly aggressive, untamed speed explicitly established the anti-religious, Satanic aesthetics of the European underground. It is a remarkably raw, fiercely energetic, and historically vital precursor to the entire black metal genre.
