Album Notes & Community Reviews

Relocating to Muscle Shoals to record, the legendary vocalist applied his commanding, gospel-drenched power to a mix of deep R&B and country standards. Highlighted by his definitive, hit cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's title track, the sessions masterfully bridge the cultural divide between Southern soul and country music.
