Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing their long-running evolution away from black metal, the Icelandic quartet fully embraces sweeping, cinematic post-rock and atmospheric progressive music. Singing entirely in their native language, the record relies on soaring guitar crescendos and melancholic piano to evoke the harsh, majestic landscapes of Iceland. It acts as a deeply emotional, stadium-sized masterpiece of modern rock.
