Album Notes & Community Reviews
On their seventh studio album, the Finnish power metal veterans noticeably dial back their trademark hyper-speed double-bass drumming and classical shredding. The project embraces a more varied, mid-tempo hard rock approach, incorporating prominent organs, acoustic guitars, and even subtle country and blues influences. While polarizing among their traditional fanbase, the record was praised for its mature, highly melodic songwriting and willingness to step outside the rigid boundaries of European power metal.
