Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed in Sioux City, Iowa in March 1997, Song of Zarathustra built their screamo and post-hardcore around a Roland R-8 drum machine, with Trever McInnis, James Munsen and Travis Bos in the original lineup. After reforming in the spring of 2000, the band recorded 'The Birth of Tragedy' with Mark Jorgensen on drums, its synthesizers and programmed rhythms setting it apart from hardcore convention.
