Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Butch Vig, 'Dirty' finds Sonic Youth polishing their signature dissonant noise-rock to align with the emerging, highly energetic grunge explosion. The album is incredibly heavy and politically charged, delivering angry, urban narratives intertwined with distorted guitar squalls and subtle slacker-rock melodies.
