Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Washing Machine' captures Sonic Youth moving away from succinct alt-rock structures toward expansive, hypnotic post-rock jamming. The album is deeply mysterious and abstract, culminating in the incredibly noisy, 19-minute dissonant epic 'The Diamond Sea'.
