Album Notes & Community Reviews

Fronted by Melissa Moore following her highly publicized, discriminatory dismissal from the black metal band Absu after coming out as transgender, Sonja's debut is a triumphant roar of defiance. 'Loud Arriver' blends classic, anthemic heavy metal riffing with a distinctly dark, gothic rock swagger. The album was celebrated as both a vital musical statement and a profound narrative of queer resilience in extreme music.
