Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded outside of his more famous Blue Note exclusivity, this date focuses entirely on the leader's distinct, horn-like linear piano phrasing. With tight, intuitive backing from George Duvivier and Max Roach, it stands as a testament to the pianist's tragic brilliance and his mastery over the post-bop trio format.
