Album Notes & Community Reviews

Uniting three generations of distinct blues traditions, 'Whoopin'' pairs veteran harmonica player Sonny Terry with the fiery Texas guitar work of Johnny Winter. Willie Dixon anchors the session with his foundational double bass, creating a joyous and heavily spirited studio atmosphere[cite: 1]. The recording stands as a heartfelt celebration of acoustic Piedmont styles meshed with electric energy.
