Enslaved

Album Notes & Community Reviews

For their eighth studio album, Max Cavalera's veteran outfit noticeably abandons much of their signature world music and tribal instrumentation. The record leans aggressively into pure death and thrash metal, featuring blistering blast beats and punishing, down-tuned guitar riffs largely absent from their recent catalog. It was highly praised by extreme music fans as the heaviest, most uncompromising release from the frontman since his early days in Sepultura.
