Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking the first release following the departure of long-time guitarist Marc Rizzo, 'Totem' finds Max Cavalera turning to his son Zyon for heightened creative input. The resulting tracks largely eschew the band's traditional tribal interludes, focusing instead on blistering, thrash-oriented riffing and primal aggression.
