Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed by British expatriates in New York City, Spacehog injected a vital dose of Bowie-esque glam rock theatricality into the grim mid-90s alternative rock landscape with 'Resident Alien'. The debut is thoroughly steeped in space-age lyricism, flamboyant vocal deliveries, and massive, fuzzy guitar hooks. Propelled by the infectious, heavily sampled hit 'In the Meantime', the record stands as a uniquely joyful, highly melodic outlier of the grunge era.
