The Perfect Prescription

Album Notes & Community Reviews

As a defining work of neo-psychedelia, 'The Perfect Prescription' is a concept album that charts the narrative arc of a drug trip from inception to its conclusion. The music sonically mirrors this journey, moving from serene, orchestral arrangements to the abrasive, blues-inflected rock that signifies the comedown. Spacemen 3's minimalist approach, often centered on one or two chords, combines original works with homages to artists like Lou Reed and The Red Krayola, all filtered through a production that streamlined the band's dense guitar layers for a starker presentation.
