Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Tsunami Sea', Spiritbox delivers a concept album that balances its metalcore and djent framework with broad experimentation into electronic, pop, and industrial music. Courtney LaPlante's vocal performance alternates between intense screams and clean, melodic singing, with lyrics exploring personal themes of longing and isolation tied to her Vancouver Island home. The production, co-handled by guitarist Mike Stringer, layers these elements with signature guitar work and a heavily compressed sound that received praise for its intensity and criticism for limiting dynamics.
