Album Notes & Community Reviews
The New Zealand eccentric pop collective strikes a delicate balance between their theatrical progressive rock roots and the rising, streamlined energy of New Wave. The album features incredibly quirky, sharply orchestrated pop songs marked by frantic rhythms, bizarre lyrical narratives, and pristine studio production. It yielded the hit 'My Mistake', signaling a crucial commercial turning point before the full integration of Neil Finn into the lineup.
