Album Notes & Community Reviews
Neal Morse's progressive rock collective solidified their heavily 1970s-indebted, highly symphonic sound on their sophomore effort. The sprawling, complex arrangements highlight virtuosic keyboard interplay, incredibly dense vocal harmonies, and remarkably intricate, shifting time signatures. It served as a massive, revitalizing force for American progressive rock, standing firmly against the prevailing alternative music trends of the era.
