Album Notes & Community Reviews
Ludovic Navarre's breakthrough project as St Germain, 'Boulevard: The Complete Series', effortlessly fused live jazz instrumentation with the driving synthetic pulse of Chicago deep house. The record's organic warmth, heavily featuring expressive saxophone and Rhodes piano solos over four-on-the-floor rhythms, helped heavily pioneer the globally recognized French Touch movement. It remains a seminal electronic album that successfully brought club culture into sophisticated lounge and cafe environments worldwide.
