Album Notes & Community Reviews
A quintessential Blue Note release, 'Hustlin'' showcases Stanley Turrentine's massive, blues-drenched tenor saxophone tone over incredibly tight, grooving soul-jazz arrangements. The session is heavily propelled by the masterful Hammond B-3 organ work of his wife, Shirley Scott, and the rhythmic precision of Kenny Burrell on guitar. It remains a highly accessible, deeply swinging standard of the genre.
