Cult of Static

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The sixth and final studio album featuring the band's classic continuous lineup is a heavily down-tuned, groove-oriented slab of industrial metal. Frontman Wayne Static incorporates expansive synthesizer work to contrast the aggressive, mechanical guitar rhythms, even securing a guest guitar solo from Megadeth's Dave Mustaine. The record reflects a deliberate return to the cold, pounding aesthetic of their earliest commercial successes.
