Album Notes & Community Reviews

Named after an area in Gerry Rafferty's hometown of Paisley, Scotland, the duo's sophomore album continues their mastery of Beatlesque melodies and lush acoustic pop-rock. Featuring pristine production by Leiber and Stoller, the record highlights the contrasting yet perfectly complementary songwriting styles of Rafferty and Joe Egan. Despite constant internal lineup friction, the album is a remarkably cohesive, slightly melancholic collection of highly crafted mid-70s radio pop.
