Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced unexpectedly by Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson, Steeleye Span's sixth album (and first as a six-piece ensemble) finds them fully embracing a harder electric rock edge. The record flawlessly marries driving drum rhythms with highly complex, multi-part traditional English folk ballads like the epic 'Thomas the Rhymer'.
