Sails of Silver

Album Notes & Community Reviews

After a brief hiatus, British folk-rock pioneers Steeleye Span returned with 'Sails of Silver', an album that consciously pivoted toward a more commercial pop-rock sound. Diminishing their traditional acoustic roots in favor of polished synthesizers and accessible song structures, the record yielded mixed reactions from their loyal fanbase. However, it effectively captured the era's glossy studio rock aesthetic.
