Album Notes & Community Reviews

'R铆mur' documents Iceland's epic chant tradition through its foremost modern practitioner, a fisherman and ship captain who has chaired the I冒unn poetic society since the late 1990s. Steind贸r Andersen performs the alliterative narrative poems unaccompanied in the traditional kv忙冒i manner, sustaining one of Europe's oldest continuous singing practices.
